Bellmont Order Builder v3.1 Download & User Instructions

Instructions (Read this first)

1. Download and install the Microsoft .net framework 3.5 (see Step 1 below).
2. Download a zip archive file containing the setup files (see Step 2 below).
3. Save the zip file to your desktop.
4. Open the zip file and double click the setup file.
5. You can now delete the zip archive file on your desktop, 'Order Builder' will be available from the start menu.
6. The first time you use Order Builder please register your account number. The software will prompt you for this.

Step 3: Read the following Instructions & start using Order Builder
Starting Order Builder and Registering an Account Number

1. Click on the ‘Start’ menu, select ‘Programs’, then ‘Bellmont Securities Pty Ltd’, then ‘Bellmont Order Builder’.
2. The first time you start ‘Order Builder’, you will be prompted to enter an account number. (You may have already registered an account number after you first installed the program. If so, this step in the process will be skipped.) This is your Macquarie CFD account number, and can be found on the account opening confirmation letter you will have received from Macquarie.
3. Click Save.


Creating an Order Using ‘Bellmont Securities – Order Builder’

1. Click on the ‘Start’ menu, select ‘All Programs’, then ‘Bellmont Securities Pty Ltd’, then ‘Bellmont Order Builder’.
2. Order Duration Section: Select order duration. Orders can be placed as being valid for a single day, or up to and including any specified date.
3. Select Market Section: Select either CFDs, Shares or Futures.
4. Entry Order Section:
a. Enter stock code (eg CBA for Commonwealth Bank).
b. Select buy or sell from the dropdown box.
c. Enter the number of CFDs, Shares or Futures in the volume field.
d. For stop entries, enter your stop entry price and optional limit price in the appropriate fields. For limit orders, simply leave the ‘On Stop At’ field blank.
5. Stop Loss Section:
a. Enter optional Stop Loss Price.
b. Select either ‘Standard Stop’ or ‘Macquarie GSL’ (GSL = Guaranteed Stop Loss – additional charges apply).
6. Profit Targets Section:
This section is for those wishing to place a managed trade, where we amend your stop loss if the market reaches certain levels.
a. Insert your first milestone level in the ‘If Touches’ box. If the market reaches this price we will amend your stop loss to the price you have specified in the field below.
b. Insert the price you wish your stop loss to be moved to in the ‘Amend Stop’ field.
c. Repeat steps a) and b) as desired, for up to three profit amendment points.
d. If you wish to place a final profit target (at which point we will close your position), place this price in the ‘Final Target’ box.
7. Click on the ‘File’ menu, and select ‘Save As’. If you receive an ‘Invalid Order’ message, proceed to 7 a), otherwise move on to 7 b).
a. A red exclamation mark next to any field indicates an invalid order. To correct, hover your mouse over the exclamation mark, and an explanation of the error will appear. Then, correct the error and attempt to save again.
b. Save the file to a specific folder on your computer, so that you have a record of all orders placed. DO NOT rename the file – save it as the file name that is automatically generated. This process will create a ‘Bellmont’ file which you will then email to Bellmont for execution.
8. Optional Instructions: These will be followed if the market opens outside your limit price.
9. Repeat steps 1 – 7 for any additional orders. (Each order will be created as a separate file.)


Sending an Order to Bellmont

1. Open a new email and address to orders@bellmontsecurities.com.au
2. In the Subject field of the email, type “New order for - insert your a/c name here-“
3. Attach the Bellmont file (or files for multiple orders) that contains your new order.
4. Hit ‘Send’! (Please leave the body of the email blank, unless you have any special instructions.)
Please attempt to get all email orders in by 9.00 am EST, so that we have time to give your orders the attention they deserve on the open of the market. We cannot guarantee to have any orders placed by the open, if we receive them after 9.00 am.


You will receive an email confirmation for your order by 9.30 am EST. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please phone the dealing desk to ensure we have received your order. You CANNOT assume that we have received your order until you have an email confirmation.

If you wish to amend an existing order, please phone the dealing desk. The Bellmont Order Builder is used only for placing new orders.
