Features
The Bellmont Buy-Write Portfolio is much more than just a stockbroking account; it is an all encompassing investment management solution, comprising advice, management and reporting – all while offering the substantial benefits of our unique investment strategy and the advantages of holding shares directly rather than through a managed investment structure. A summary of some of the key features of the portfolio can be found below:
Expert advice, tailored to your personal circumstances
Prior to the establishment of your portfolio we will undertake a comprehensive needs analysis with you in order to ensure that the advice we provide is tailored to your specific requirements and circumstances. Annual reviews of your financial situation and goals ensure that the strategy adopted remains appropriate to your circumstances. Additional reviews are also available when required, upon request.
Comprehensive portfolio administration and reporting
Your Bellmont Buy-Write Portfolio takes all the hard work out of maintaining and monitoring your investments. Our Portfolio Administration Service provides both quarterly and annual reports, providing you with a simple yet comprehensive overview of your holdings, performance and taxation position – saving you time, and significantly reducing accounting fees for taxation reporting.
Transparent and competitive fee structure
In order to ensure an appropriate alignment of incentives, we have adopted a fee structure in which fees are based on the value of funds that we manage on your behalf, rather than the number of transactions which we undertake. (With common transaction based fee structures, there is an implicit incentive for the broker to trade more regularly on the account, while the incentive for the client is to trade less often to reduce fees.) Our sole objective with your Bellmont Buy-Write Portfolio is to maximise your net returns after taxes and transaction costs, so that your account balance will grow, and our fee income can increase proportionally. (Full details of our fee structure can be found in the ‘Fee Schedule’ section.)
Individual investments held directly
Your Bellmont Buy-Write Portfolio is a non-discretionary account, which means that every investment we make must be approved by you prior to its execution. As the account holder, you have final veto over any investment recommendation, and are free to maintain as active, or as passive a role as you desire.
Maintaining all investments in your name directly rather than through a managed investment structure means that you receive the full benefit of all dividend income, as well as any franking credits paid. Dividend yields on the investment portfolio are likely to approximate, or exceed the market average dividend yield for each period.
Regular Investment Plan
Regular monthly investments can be arranged to be direct debited from your everyday bank account, in order to further assist you in meeting your long term investment goals. The minimum monthly contribution is $500.
Interest on your funds
If any of your funds are not used for share investments at any particular time, they will receive a high rate of interest (variable) in your account. You can be confident that your investment is always working hard for you, regardless of allocation.
